Christ died on the cross for our sins and He chose to love us through His ultimate sacrifice. We believe that we are all 'Called to Christ' and we recognize the need for a relationship with him. Our student ministry focuses on the study of God's word, not on one specific religion. God has created each of us very uniquely and we know that everyone has diferent levels of faith. Our focus remains on Christ as we consider the following ideals:
1. FAITH - Each student is encouraged to explore thier understanding of who God was and is. It is our hope that as students increase their knowledge and awareness of God that their faith will grow and their lives will be changed.
2. PRAYER - Prayer is one of the most effective ways for anyone to exercise their faith. We encourage students to pray at all of our events. This is a great way for them to show their faith to other students. It also offers them the chance to be spiritual leaders within the group, thus preparing them to share their faith through prayer.
3. RELATIONSHIP - As each student's faith increases they should begin to desire an even more personal realtionship with Christ. The adult staff and volunteers are committed to helping each student learn how to seek God every day of their life. We also discuss ways that the students can maintain that relationship.
4. FELLOWSHIP - Social interaction is great on many levels but with God as the focus, group meetings and events are great for students. While they are here, students are reminded that this is a place where they will be accepted and loved by students and adults who are sharing their faith in Jesus Christ.
5. SERVICE - The ability to serve others is one of God's greatest gifts to us. We participate in several service opportunities like mission trips, community projects and fundraisers to help others in need. All students are asked to participate throughout the year in order to gain experience and talk about what it's like to serve others.
